Even small trees can be fed in at once. The hopper is oriented 40 degrees to the knife, so branches are sliced with the grain instead of across it, resulting in faster, smoother processing. The coolest feature of the Chipper is its ability to virtually self-feed. No other chipper offers this for home use application! Since the hopper of the DR is vertically-oriented, gravity works in our favor. We combined this with a sophisticated airflow system which draws air in from the back of the chipper chamber through the hopper intake and expels air out of the exhaust port for explosive, clog free discharge of processed wood.
